Felicia Staub has a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania. She trained in mediation and conflict resolution at the Dispute Resolution Centers (DRCs) in Washington State. She is a Senior Mediator and is certified with the Washington Mediation Association, as well as having endorsements in family and victim/offender mediation and expertise in parent/teen mediation. She has mediated over 500 cases since 2008 of varying types, including workplace, foreclosure, community, neighbor, divorce, parent/teen, elder, school, construction, real estate, landlord/tenant, contract, victim/offender, criminal, and other types. She is on the Board of Directors for the Washington Mediation Association. Felicia is a seasoned trainer, presenting trainings in conflict resolution, mediation, communication skills, and related topics since 2000 for many groups, including universities, Native American tribes, government agencies, private businesses, community members, and federal prison inmates. Having worked for the DRC of Yakima & Kittitas Counties for five years as their Coordinator of Mediators and Trainings, she created, organized, and presented trainings, trained and supervised a pool of 40 plus volunteer mediators, coordinated the small claims mediation program, did case management, and mediated many cases. She brings extensive experience, tremendous dedication, great organizational skills, and a lot of creativity to her work. Felicia has won awards from the Washington Mediation Association and from the Whatcom Dispute Resolution Center for her mediating and from the Freedom Project for her work presenting and coordinating trainings in prison. She currently mediates for Pollack Peacebuilding Systems, the Sound Options Group, the Whatcom DRC, privately for her business Empowered Communication, and as a volunteer for several local DRCs.
