General Overview
Jim has been a mediator for over 10 years and is known for his ability to help clients regularly seek resolution in the boardroom and the courtroom. He has conducted roughly 200 mediations, from the dissolution of business partnerships to highly charged mediations at the Nevada County Courthouse involving restraining orders and landlord-tenant cases.
Jim sees it as an honor to help clients resolve serious, often long-standing–and even bitter–disputes between people. He has the unique ability to maintain a calm, steady and reassuring demeanor to be able to sit with anyone in conflict and work out a resolution.
Business Experience
Having careers in the business world, the legal world and as a mental health counselor, Jim has supported all types of resolutions in varying environments. He has negotiated settlements in discrimination cases, worked with engineering and architectural firms, as well as conflicts in real estate issues. Jim is a journalist and uses his experience as an interviewer to uncover the full story and root of a conflict.
