Addressing conflict in the workplace is often best achieved when both parties are able to reach an understanding of each other and work together on a mutually-beneficial solution. Like compromising, this method usually leaves some sacrifice on the floor, but the give-and-take is born from working together and creating joint goals rather than finding a way for two individual sets of goals to exist together.
When learning how to solve conflicts at work, competing should not be your go-to. This is an uncooperative path that is led by aggressive behavior with a win-at-all-costs attitude that does not put the team first.
